Veteran's Day Parade

Ok, I'm only a week or two behind posting about events. Mostly I'm trying to get everything done in the next week before leaving for Thanksgiving in NC and a trip to Washington DC. The boys and Chase marched with the Civil Air Patrol Squadron in the Veteran's Day Parade. I'm ashamed to admit that this is the first time I've ever been to this parade. It was BIG! The siblings of the cadets (which would include Chase) helped by tossing candy.

Thanks to my friend, Danielle, I actually have a picture of Chase. She was on the other side when she went by me. That's her in the red shirt.

That's Landon at the right of the picture.

You can just see Gerren here over the first guy's shoulder. (He's the short one!)

Of course, I had to include a picture of Carys, the spectator. We were invited to walk in the parade as well, but I didn't think my foot would tolerate it or that she would want to stay in the stroller for very long.

So, your foot is still bothering you? Sorry to hear that.

I did not realize that Gerren was doing CAP also. Does he like it?

Actually, Michelle, it's the other foot. My right foot is great. I did the chiropractor and that was enough to heal it. I still would wear my inserts inside tennis shoes for any major walking but could wear sandals and other shoes, too. I had 5-6 good months, then my left foot starting killing me. I don't know how I'm going to survive DC after Thanksgiving.

Gerren joined CAP this summer. He does like it, although he doesn't put the effort into it that Landon does. That's typical of him... just enough to get by!

Glad your son was able to participate in the parade!
