Since I seem to be so bad at actually blogging frequently, I decided I try this to at least give a review of my week.
1) Landon earned 3 more college credits via the CLEP Humanities exam. I'm so proud of his efforts and accomplishments.
2) My Utmost for His Highest - This is the 3rd or 4th time I've read through this devotional, and it always blesses me. It's really speaking to me again this time.
3) The cool weather is back again. I'm so glad! I'm dreading the months and months in the 90's.
4) We got the jackets we ordered from Children's Place. They had adult fleece jackets for $3.99 each. Everyone got one except for Carys. We had a discount code as well. With shipping and tax and everything, I paid $25 for 5 adult jackets!
5) PIZZA! I make homemade pizza every Friday night. Last night, I tried a new recipe from Simple & Delicious called "Antipasto Pizza". Yum! It was a hit. :)

Wow! You got a tremendous deal on the fleece jackets! Their products are pretty well made too!
Yay for Landon!!!!! I love My Utmost for His Highest...another favorite of mine which I just recently purchased is The Daily God Book: A Year of Listening For God by Erin Keeley Marshall.
Great buy on the jackets!! You are such a miracle worker with the pennies!!!
I am going to see if there is a Simple and Delicious website. Tonight I am making Bulgogi (Korean Teriyaki beef) with sticky rice). I have a breakfast casserole in the fridge "germinating" for tomorrow's breakfast. You are such an inspiration to the latent cook in me.
Danielle, they do have a website, but I think you have to be a subscriber to get recipes off of it. I'll be glad to pass my old mags on to you. :)
Welcome to FFF, Linda! So nice to have you join in.
Pizza is my all time favorite food. I can't believe the great deal you got on jackets. That is amazing!
I have never read Utmost for His Highest but have meant too. I'll have to get myself a copy.
Thanks, Susanne! Make sure to get the "updated edition" of My Utmost. Much more readable! :)
Enjoyed reading your list.
I love "My Utmost" but I'm old school -- I love the old version. (That's an English teacher for you!)
Have a happy week!
I tried to get the deal on the jackets but by the time I saw it, they were just about out. ;-) Great job on the CLEP credits!
The pizza sounds yummy! The kids gave me a "real" pizza pan for Christmas, but I have yet to actually make an home made pizza. Maybe you should share your recipe. Is the crust easy to make?
Cynthia, I use a recipe I got in a 30-Day Gourmet newsletter one month. I make a batch of 18 crust mixes at a time. Then, I just add water, oil, and yeast and make the dough in my bread machine. It just takes a little planning ahead because it takes about 1.5 hour in the machine, then it needs to sit 30-60 minutes before you roll it out. I use this crust for every pizza I make. If the pizza recipe itself calls for a prebaked crust, I just make my own. It is so good!
Linda, I wish I would have seen those jackets, that's GREAT! (I only see a berry color, and now the price is $13.99.)
I found the pizza recipe online, it looks great. For anyone else: Google "Simple & Delicious" "antipasto pizza" Don't click on the Taste of Home link, but click on the "Cached" link right within that text.
Hey - Linda - I love your new background.....
