Happy New Year!

While reading blogs today, I read these four questions to ask ourselves when approaching a new year:

  • What do I need to Celebrate?
  • What do I need to Change?
  • What do I need to Conclude?
  • What do I need to Contend for? (In other words, whose interests will I look out for?)
I intend to contemplate those four questions over the next week while I pray about a Word for the year as well. I didn't choose a word last year, but I have new inspiration from my friend, Becky.

And let me just say, everyone needs a real woman of God who's a little ahead of her on the road of life to look up to. I've been blessed to have several of these women come into my life throughout the years, and Becky Moews is one of them! Lord, may my life be such a reflection of you that you will be able to use me in such a way as well.

Reading a great book to start off the new year....Sanity Secrets for Stressed-Out Women by Sue Augustine....although I have learned to manage my stress quite effectively these past few years she really helps you target areas that need improvements...answers to all those areas that you wrote here in your post. I remember Becky....I'm glad you have her. BTW...our favorite restaurant in Ocala is Winghouse (similar to Hooters in the waitstaff department - just a warning) but the food is really good and reasonable.

When we move to Ocala in a couple of weeks, maybe we'll get takeout from the Winghouse. Thanks for the warning as to the waitstaff. We would probably avoid that. :)

Linda, I've been praying for your family and your move. Hope it's all going well :).
