The airport in Tampa has this cool section for the kids to play. It was a good start to our trip.

The scenery was just beautiful in a dry and arid sort of way. We were somehow surprised to see these mountains. When you're thinking desert, you just don't think mountains!

The main job we had was to put these door hangers on doors in the neighborhoods that did not get a mailer about the church's launch. Did I mention that it was 105° outside? You can see how red Gerren's face is!

This is Chase with her best buddy Jamie in the middle (she's Jeremy, the pastor's, wife and right-hand "man"). On the left is Amanda, Jeremy's sister, from TX.

We bought all these little goodies from the Dollar Tree and wrapped them to keep Carys occupied. She didn't need them so much on the plane, but it did come in handy here at the restaurant.

Here we are trying to recuperate by having lunch at Red Robin on Saturday. In addition to our family and Jamie, there are Jeremy's dad, 2 sisters, stepdad and mom.

Jeremy and Jamie store a lot of the church stuff and have all other meetings, practices, etc. in their home. The electronic drums were set up from band practice, and Gerren had a blast playing them!

The church is renting the Bounce U once a month. It is just a couple doors down the plaza from the theatre where the adults meet. This is one of the activities there. We don't have anything like this near us. Gerren and Chase loved it!

Here we are in front of the theatre right after church and right before we left to go home. It was a tiring trip, but how awesome to be able to serve the Lord together as a family. We are so blessed!

Linda, my dad lives in Phoenix. We've only been there once, and I thought the whole place had a "Dr. Suess" kind of feel to it, with the suaro, mountains, just soooo different than anything I've seen before!
It sounds like a GREAT trip! What a blessing to both your family and to the church that you were able to do this!!
How exciting! It looks like you are all having fun!
What a neat trip! I loved the pictures. So fun to see everything you did. What is the next step?

We are in the process of *growing* our new church also. The door hangers are an awesome idea! I made 200 phone calls last week. Some of our youth got kicked out of the mall parking lot. There has GOT to be a more creative way to get the word out!
Glad you had fun!
What a great trip. I must remember to fly through Tampa if the need arises again. LOL
What a fun trip and adventure. That is the kind of thing that I would love to do with my family too!
We were in Phoenix a few years ago and it was HOT but it wasn't humid. What a difference from here in Florida. Glad you all are back safe!
