The Music of Christmas

Chase's choir did a concert at one local nursing home and went caroling at another. After the concert, they went to CiCi's Pizza for dinner. The manager treated all the girls to pizza and the family members were given a free drink. It was a nice treat.

The choir sang the Christmas songs they had learned in two sections. Between the two sections and after the last part, the girls had the opportunity to play or sing. There were many piano pieces, two ensembles of singers, one violin song and one guitar song. Chase played Moonlight Sonata on the piano. It was a last-minute change from her original plan to play and sing "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel". She was just playing the chords, and she refused to slow down. She also played Silent Night on her guitar and sang along. She was awesome!

We were blessed to have Gerren come along and help run the sound.

Chase's friend, Sarah, came, too. Chase hadn't seen her in two months and was SO thrilled to have her there.

How wonderful that you took time out to visit a nursing home during this busy season.
