Another Baptism Picture

My sil took this great picture during Chase's baptism. The top part is the giant screen right above the baptistry; the bottom is the actual baptism. Daddy Greg baptised Chase (he's the one in the funky glasses - for all my homeschooling friends).

You mean he doesn't have to get IN and get totally wet? Wow - you civilian pastors have it easy. ::snort:: ducking and running....

Oh good grief...being silly and forgot to say how very special it is for him to have baptized Chase...well you know what I mean. We have those pictures of the older 5 getting baptized and I think it is one of the highlights of Mike's ministry years. LOL

What a special time of year to be baptized. I am going to have to show the picture to my dh - he has been a pastor since 1986 and he always gets in the water with the one he is baptizing . .. I think I will tell him this is a new trend . . .:-)

How special for everyone!

Our church just finished a major addition project and one of the things was a new baptismal that pastor does not have to get into. Most of the time, our church does their baptisms in the river.

No, he did not have to get in! Greg baptized both our boys at our former church. One in a swimming pool. It was July but the water was FREEZING! By the time our second son was ready to be baptized, the church had a baptistry. It is in a gazebo outside also. He was baptized the Sunday after Christmas but it was warmer than the pool in July. We think this baptistry is really neat! At our church, all kinds of different people baptize -- from the various pastors to parents and small group leaders. I guess not having to actually get IN the water makes this a little easier!
