Today was the first dissection--an earthworm.
Here "he" is ready to go!

Landon did pretty well, although he destroyed the worm's ganglia (which acts as its brain, according to Landon). He said the experiment information said it is common to destroy this part when cutting the worm open.

This picture proves that Landon actually did the dissection. (As you can see, I forbid it taking place IN my house. He used the back porch.)

This picture proves that MOM actually went outside and looked at the gross thing!

Landon celebrates throwing the worm away.

Thanks to Chase for taking most of these great pictures!

Great blog!! Joshua is in the Biology section of his Rainbow Science and he is NOT particularly enjoying it. I'm not sure why. He loved the Chemistry and Physics section. He is not going to be crazy about dissections.
As always - thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You are my scheduling hero. :)
Okay, that IS gross! But it's cool how they have the kids keep everything pulled apart and using the pins...
Great job, Chase, on taking the pics!
(Brave girl, too!)
Well I am unsure how I got here...but imagine my surprise! It had to be through a homeschooling link...since that is what I do now ;)
I've been blogging for over two years now...I absolutely love it. I'm on my third move in the blogosphere...this time to my own domain. Stop by and visit when you get a chance. It's still a work in progress as I have put all the About Me...About My Blog...buttons into draft for the move. They should all be up shortly.
Anyway...just thought I would say hello and not 'lurk' ;).
