1st Sunday in Advent
I'm behind in Christmas planning this year. It was tough to plan when there is no money for Christmas. Greg has been unable to find a full-time job since being laid off in August. My parents blessed us with a check to "do Christmas" with, so I had to start planning at the last minute. :) I read on my friend Kate's blog about the Advent Calendar on DVD. We have been through the Jotham's Journey books so many times, and Carys is really too little to get into them yet. So, we decided to try this DVD for this year. So far, we are enjoying it. So, the gift for family gift for the first Sunday in Advent was this DVD and the second one as well, which we will use next year.

Did you find those DVDS locally or did you purchase them from amazon?
I'm so glad your parents blessed you. We've downsized to the point that none of us have bought a thing and we're not real worried about it. I'm sure we'll get something...but we're enjoying the peace of the season. LOL
We had the same thoughts about Jotham...we've done it alot...Jared seems to miss it...but the rest weren't too excited and I thought it would be fun to wait until Stacia is old enough to really enjoy it...she gets bad dreams easily. We found the DVD calendar from Kate too. LOL
Cynthia, I don't know why I didn't see this comment until today (3/19/10)! I got the DVDs at Amazon.com, but maybe you've figured that out already. :)
