Carys' birthday fell on a Thursday when Greg works all day and night, and Landon isn't home from school. He was coming home Friday though, as they had a three-day weekend with Monday off for Martin Luther King Day. So Carys chose to wait to eat out (our birthday tradition) until Friday night. We went to Cracker Barrel.
We don't usually do cake and candles. I let each child choose a dessert for their big day. This year, Carys chose a cake (White Cookie Cake), so we put candles in it for her.
