Christmas Eve

Greg had to work Christmas Eve day, but he was home in time for services at Cornerstone. I was disappointed that it was not a candlelight service, but otherwise it was very nice. We were home before 7:00pm for our traditional take-out Chinese dinner. Then the fun began. This is the second year that I did not put the kids real names on their gifts. Instead I used characters from The Lord of the Rings. The kids had to guess who was who. I wrote all the names on this dry erase board.

It took them three attempts to figure it out: Landon - Gimli, Gerren - Frodo, Chase - Merry, Carys - Legolas. They have a lot of fun just guessing.

The Christmas Eve gifts were pajamas. The boys got sleep pants - a light fabric which is better for Florida than flannel.

Chase got two pairs of flannel pajamas (which I got at Walmart for $3 each the day after Thanksgiving). Chase got a Tinkerbell "spa" set (another Walmart Black Friday find) with thermal pajamas, slippers, glitter emory board, nail clippers, buffer, etc.

Gerren has made it his mission to hide from the camera!

I love the "name" game...what a great idea. BTW...Sam also now hides from the camera..must be the age. Hope your Christmas was joyous!!!! We always go to SRPC on Christmas Eve...always nice. Haven't tried Cornerstone.

Cute about the guessing game! Linda! Robert and Holly hit Walmart on Black Friday and watched fights break out over those $3 pajamas! I'm glad YOU had successful shopping!!
